An All-Inclusive Service
No More Hourly Compliance Bills!
Includes Letter Review!
BLG360™ is the firm’s all-inclusive, monthly retainer service designed to meet the needs of debt collectors.
The BLG360™ Service includes:

Telephone consultations with the Client’s Chief Compliance Officer or Executive Management Team concerning operations, compliance, litigation, and other general legal issues related to the credit and collection industries. Call and ask our advice before you do something; don’t wait to ask if it was ok after you did it.

Electronic mail communication with the Client’s Chief Compliance Officer or Executive Management Team concerning operations, compliance, litigation, and other general legal issues related to the credit and collection industries. Again, ask before you do something rather than after you did it.

Mature compliance management systems include a process for letter review by outside counsel. Before putting your collection letters into production, send them to Bedard Law Group, P.C. for review so we can identify potential legal risk. Prepare letters for review by following the Firm’s detailed Letter Review Package instructions and receive comments on your letters within 30 days in most circumstances (depending on the number of letters).

Personal observation of a collection operation can identify legal risk in ways electronic mail and telephone calls cannot. BLG360™ service includes a single day of on-site, personal consultation to observe and discuss the Client’s collection operation. Clients separately pay the costs of travel (and lodging, if necessary) and receive the benefit of personal on-site consultation for one day (not to exceed 10 hours on-site) annually.

Words matter. Every mature compliance manage system includes a mechanism for investigating and responding to consumer complaints and disputes. Before sending that response to the consumer, or to the CFPB, or to an Attorney General’s office, or other government regulator, send your draft response to Bedard Law Group, P.C. for review and comment.

Clients routinely receive demand letters from consumers and their attorneys. Knowing when to respond and what to say is important to managing legal risk. After investigating and preparing a response, Clients may send those draft responses to the Firm for review and comment.

The scope of the legal relationship between a collector and its client is defined primarily by the collection agreement between the parties. Before signing those agreements, send them to the Firm for review and comment.

Clients enrolled and paid current on BLG360™ service will enjoy a 10% reduction in its regular hourly rates on all services provided by the Firm which are not included in the BLG360™ offering. Those services, which are not included in BLG360™, but for which Clients will enjoy reduced hourly rates include: defense litigation (including making an appearance as the Client’s attorney in any case, claim, or demand), drafting/reviewing collection policies and procedures, collection related training, regulatory defense services, or written legal opinions.
